My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for iEARN-USA (International Education and Resource Network) , New York, NY, USA
iEARN has had a transformative effect on my teaching and understanding of global education. Attending the 2007 conference in Mubarek City, Egypt, opened my eyes to the impact that this organization has on mutual respect and understanding among teachers and students around the world. Direct teacher-teacher and student-student contact through single-topic projects as well as multi-project Learning Circles deepens trust; students learn through these relationships that perceived barriers and mistrust are just that: perceptions that are radically altered by person-person contact. This is my 11th year with iEARN, and I cannot imagine my 6th grade (11-12 years old) Geography classes without iEARN. I am honored to be trusted with the role of Learning Circles Coordinator and plan to continue to work with iEARN even after I retire from full-time teaching. I have nothing but appreciation for the organization and its talented and devoted staff.
Respectfully - and gratefully,
