The OV-10 Bronco Association and the Fort Worth Aviation Museum is the place to be in Forth Texas to get the story on close air support and forward air controllers especially during the Vietnam Era. They have the most touchable war birds in North Texas and 3 OV-10s in the collection. One airforce bird, one Marine and the mockup. It is a great place to bring the family and get to see many different planes that performed the close air support and forward air controller role in aviation history

OV-10 Bronco Association along with the Fort Worth Aviation Association are just awesome organizations. They have (3) OV-10 aircraft. 2 ea 0V-10A and the OV-10 mock up that was used to show the world what the airplane would look like. There are many volunteers that work tirelessly to preserve these airplanes for future generations to enjoy. If you want to sit in the airplane to feel what it was like? Ask someone to open the cockpit. Guarantee they will say yes! Captain Joe "NAPA" Wayne, USMC/Retired.

My name is Joe Wayne, I am a retired Marine Corps Officer. I was in the Aircraft Maintenance field and got a call from a good friend of mine that the museum had an QF-4S that was needing to be finished by a deadline and VMFA-112 that had volunteered to paint the jet was activated and heading to Japan for a 6 month deployment. It was an all call to Marines and friends of Marines to get the jet painted in VMFA-333 colors in time for a dedication by member of the squadron and to tell the story of when the squadron shot down a MIG over North Vietnam during the war. Well I jumped at the chance. I was in an F-4 squadron during my career and it brought me back to my younger days of working on fighters. I have a few more Phantom bites on my head from being under the jet while painting and zigging when I should have zagged. That was over 4 years ago and I have been there most Saturdays painting and preserving our aviation history. This is a museum where you can touch history. Open cockpits and here stories from Aviators and Mechanics who flew and worked on these jets during there time on active duty or flying with the guard or reserves. You get to see proud military men and women working with civilians who just love history. This is a first class organization run by a first call team.
