I recently went on a trip to Nicaragua for spring break and absolutely loved it! The people there are extremely warm-hearted and the country itself is beautiful. I even got a chance to tour the Managua office for Wisconsin/Nicaragua Partners of the Americas and visit three of the learning centers there as well. I couldn't believe how different the quality of life was there compared to here and how some of the things we take for granted everyday, like running water, are a luxury many can not afford to have. What W/NP is doing for the people in Nicaragua increases their quality of life and helps people pay for daily essentials. By sending our love and support, we are able to help aid in the teachings available in their learning centers. Overall, Nicaragua and W/NP are both wonderful and unique in their own ways. I am so glad I went on this trip through the organization...I even got to practice my Spanish!
