With more than 12 years of experience working internationally to eliminate human trafficking, I recognized the indispensable need to address the problem at the local and community levels. As a crime largely invisible to the general public, human trafficking can be effectively stopped at those levels, though the need for national and international action remains. Joining LCHT's board seemed the best way to continue my previous efforts. No one is doing this better than LCHT. With its principled leadership and dedicated staff, it fills a vital function in the state of Colorado and serves as an excellent model for similar initiatives around the country and abroad.
