The greatest life-changing experiences I've ever had were because of my involvement with Youthlinc! One of my favorite elements of youthlinc is that they require students to do 80 hours of local service, 40 of which are at a main service site. This made a massive impact on my life because it taught me what youthlinc's motto of becoming a "lifetime humanitarian" truly means. A "lifetime humanitarian" is someone who understands that there is always a need, no matter where you are in the world, and then fills that need with service. Youthlinc teaches it's students to be a consistent and relied-upon volunteer rather than a once-in-a-while volunteer. The life skills and lessons that I have learned through being a member of the Youthlinc family is something I will value for the rest of my life.
