It Just Takes 1 offers mentoring/art groups and writing classes for all ages. The group I would like to speak about here is: The Artist Within, this group is currently enrolling for teen girls. Girls get together and use art as a medium of self discovery. They learn to trust them selves more, work out their relationships with others all while enjoying the process of art. The mentors love children, are heartfelt volunteers, create a safe place that encourages personal growth.

I have been a team leader for about 3 years. I love sewing and volunteering for Days For Girls. Supporting a girl to stay in school, helping a displaced refugee gives me the feeling of helping someone I do not know. I love this feeling. I have a small team and we have been able to send over 300 kits out. That is 300 women and girls with a life, a story that we have hopefully made a little better.
