Though I haven't adopted a pet from NHES (yet), I am a very proud donor and supporter of all they do for the animals. While they take in and care for abandoned and abused dogs and cats at the BAAC until they find their forever homes (and are 100% against euthanizing healthy animals! I know Marley has been there for a long time...), they've also partnered with other organizations like the Potomac Valley Audubon Society and have donated many acres of their campus to restore the habitats of local birds and butterflies. They are passionate, dedicated people, and their organization is doing great work not only in West Virginia and the DC area, but across the US through their humane education and advocacy efforts.
