I have been involved with the VFW National Home for Children since 2004 when I visited for the first time as a Jr. Vice for the Ladies Auxiliary. My joy is knowing that when I give a donation, it is going to help make a difference in a Veteran and their family's lives. The Home is run by professional staff, maintained beautifully and always ready with our help line to aid the Veteran and their family find help if possible in their area, but if not to start the process of getting them to the Home where there will not only be a home, but counselling, help with budgeting and many other ways to help the family heal and get back to a normal life - all at no cost to the Veteran or their family.
This facility is a one of a kind tribute to those Veterans who have defended our freedom and is our way of "paying it forward" to those who need our services.
I am a VFW Auxiliary member, Past National President for the Auxiliary and now a Trustee for the National Home and I recommend everyone to get to know what the VFW National Home for Children has to offer and to support the Home with any donations possible.
