I am the Headquarters Admin Assistant for VFW Department of South Carolina. In my daily work I am contacted by Veterans who are in desperate situations. I naturally refer them to any local assistance but I always add the National Home Assistance line. I can not tell you the number of these familys that call me back and praise the National Home. They provide emotional support as well as contact information on assistance available nation wide.
Having been to the Home to visit, I can tell you that the work they do there is only the tip of the iceberg. I can't say enough about how helpful and caring the staff is to all who seek there assistance.
