Review for Aspen Camp of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Snowmass, CO, USA
I'm proud alumni for 18 years now. I enrolled at Aspen Camp 26 years in 1992 and continue until 2000. I was a former summer camper from 1992- 2000 ( missed 3 summers from 1994-1996) 6 years went Aspen Camp. I went there when I was 10 years old and I was little nervous but excited because I can have some fun with other campers my age from different states even from Colorado. My challenge experience is from 7 days backpacking trip in 1997 which it was very tough walk through 3 passes and made it. I enjoy meeting new friends. I am happy I did it, if I dont go to Aspen Camp during my youth year I will stuck staying home with my granadma for every all summers. I am lucky to be there in 2000 at 18. I have a good memories. Aspen Camp is always in my heart forever. I want to thank to Barbara Jean (BJ) Blocker, former Executive Director for welcoming me to ACSD in 1992. I hope that Aspen Camp will stay run for another 50 years. I would like to see our present and future campers attend camp through the years and in the future as new campers to look up staff members as the role model and hope the campers would be become staff in the future when they get older. I always wanted to be a summer staff since 2000 when I was 18 years old.
