I have been the oboe teacher at OSAI for 4 summers - and it is my absolute happy place. Watching the students grow and learn is so inspirational to me - I cannot imagine what the students take away from this experience. We work hard all day, every day - and the kids get tired - but they keep going, and what they create is at such a high level one would think we were in a major city in the world, not in little Quartz Mountain. This place is magical and the students know it, respect it, and take away a sense of confidence, happiness and creativity that I believe could not be achieved anywhere else. OSAI will stay with me for my lifetime - and it will always be in the hearts and minds of these students too.

This will be my third summer teaching at OAI. The setting. The students. The staff. The faculty. The armadillos!! I am there to teach, inspire and enrich the minds and lives of these amazing students....but I leave each year feeling like it was me that was taught, enriched and inspired. This place is magical and all who leave here, leave a better person and a better artist for having been here. I cannot imagine a more rewarding way to spend two weeks of my life every summer.
