Review for Cat Network, Inc., Miami, FL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I first learned about the Cat Network in late 2011 when we were looking to adopt another cat after we lost our beloved Kitty.

We ended up adopting Yuri from Cindy Hewitt, who was his foster mom through the Cat Network. We learned that Yuri came from an extreme hoarding situation. Despite the horrendous conditions he had to endure, Yuri has been an amazing cat, loves to fetch and be wherever we are at all times.

About 9 months later, while at PetSmart instantly fell in love with a black cat named Joey (Who now goes by Doodle Bug) that was up for adoption through a Cat Network foster mom. He was found in a parking lot as a small kitten and had to be trapped. He is a total love bug and loves to cuddle and eat wheat grass!

A year or so later, a feral cat had been coming to our back door for food. I noticed she was nursing. So, I did what I could to find her her kittens. I found them when they were about 3 weeks old. I was able to get them and the mama to a safe, secure location and Cindy helped me get them all checked out medically, vaccinated, wormed, treated for fleas, etc. I was able to get Mama spayed with the help of a Cat Network certificate at a participating vet's office. We ended up keeping two of the kittens from that litter, Harley an adorable tuxedo and Sammy, who is a solid black massive moose of a cat. We also found a nice forever home for Mama.

Then about a year or so later, as luck would have it, a tiny little kitten was eating bird seed off the ground under our feeders in pouring rain. The poor thing was scared of every little movement and starving to death. I started putting food and water out and contacted Cindy. She loaned me a trap and showed me how to operate it. I was successful in trapping the kitten and took her to Cindy where we got her all checked out. The little gal had us from the first day she was eating bird seed off the ground in the pouring rain, so we took her into our home as well.

We have since moved 3,500 miles from South Florida to Northern California with all of our fur babies, but I will always stay connected with Cindy and follow and contribute to Cat Network because they played such an important role in the lives of all of our cats.

If it wasn't for the Cat Network and Cindy, I don't know where these cats would have ended up. As it stands, all five of them have a wonderful life, are being extremely spoiled and I really can't imagine my life without all five of them. Through my experience with Cindy H. through the Cat Network I learned a lot about kittens, cats and TNR. Because of their work and Cindy's mentoring, my daughter and I are starting our own cat rescue/sanctuary and will be TNR advocates in our area!

Thank you Cat Network and thank you, Cindy!

Wendy
