About a year ago I was traveling in Puerto Rico and found a stray dog hiding under a trash can. I fell in love with him and wanted to help him, especially after learning about the terrible situation for dogs in PR. I wanted to bring him back to New York with me to find him a home but was finding it impossible to manage this. I reached out to Defensa and they helped me greatly with organizing his trip, getting him safely from the vet to the airport, everything. I could not have done this rescue without them. They do great work and deserve much more help!

The dog (Oscar) was adopted by my aunt and uncle and they are absolutely in love with him. You can see in the pics his transformation, which was all possible with help from defensa!
