Literacy and Beyond is doing really wonderful things in this community. I became involved initially volunteering in their book room. This room is where book marks are made, and books are stamped, and sticker labeled to be handed out at the book fairs in the schools. Then I had the opportunity to volunteer in the childcare room for the GED students with children. The care and time invested by staff into these children shows how much Literacy and Beyond values their mission of working with parents and their children together.
