I am honored to be a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship scheme. Thank you for generously supporting me. Thank you for giving me a tertiary education. My lifelong dream of attending a university is becoming a reality. I am grateful for the financial aid I am receiving from EPI. The scholarship is really helping me. There is no need to worry about my tuition and accommodation fees. This is because EPI is paying for my tuition and accommodation.
I happened to join the EPI family in 2013 just after my admission at University of Ghana, Legon. Having been awarded the scholarship, I realized EPI is not just a scholarship scheme but a family. Why is this so? EPI has the welfare of its members at heart. EPI gives you full scholarship which comprises of accommodation, school fees, books and stipends. It gives tertiary education to the less privilege and gifted students. Because EPI believes greatly that education is mind opening and therefore it is a powerful weapon that can be used to change the world. What else is more important than giving tertiary education to the less privilege?
According to James Dewar, a Scottish Physicist, Chemist and an inventor of Dewar flask “minds are like parachutes, they only function when they are open”. Yes! An open mind is a mind that that is open to new thoughts and new ways of doing things. It does not see obstacles but opportunities. EPI is opening my mind. Because education gives the individual critical skill and tools to better provide for his/her self, children, family, community, country and the whole world at large. In addition, education provides a great opportunity to meet a wide variety of people and build a network of friends and contact. In general, education increases people’s knowledge of how to live a healthy life style. Because an educated person provides people with knowledge about vaccination, cleaned drinking water and fitness. In most cases educated person is a healthy person.
Hey don’t forget that EPI is not just a scholarship scheme but a family. As a member of EPI family you don’t only get your fees paid. You receive training in time management, career development, entrepreneurship, CV writing, cover letter preparation, interview preparation and other employable toolkits. If you are brilliant and determine to attend university but handicapped financially then EPI is the family you should turn to. “Education is a better safeguard of liberty than a standing army”, Edword Everett. EPI gives you that liberty. I am grateful to Mr. Leonard Lafrance and Mrs. Sarah Lafrance for nurturing this idea.
Once again thank you for the vote of confidence in me. I am committed to my education. I am one step closer to becoming an Economist. EPI is changing lives. I highly recommend EPI to any donor and any brilliant but needy student ready to enroll for tertiary education. With EPI your tuition, books and accommodation are taken care off.
