Review for Opus Bono Sacerdotii, Oxford, MI, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I heard an interview with Joe Maher on the radio. He spoke passionately about the need to help priests who were suffering. These were men who dedicated their lives to serving others and for varied reasons were abandoned in their old age. He spoke of the role of Simon in helping Jesus carry his cross. Opus Bono Sacerdotii helps priests when they are most in need without judging, without conditions. I receive letters requesting donations with credible stories of need and the results of the aid that is given. The organization is run by professionals. I feel a part of the organization when I donate, not just a contact on their list.

I heard Joe (Founder) being interviewed on a local catholic station a few years ago. I was very moved by his mission and the stories of the priests they help. Many of the priests have been falsely accused and abandoned. Some suffer from addictions and health problems. When Joe said this was a chance to be Simon of Cyrene, I was hooked. I've been supporting ever since.
