Review for Educational Pathways International, Incline Village, NV, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I am Obed Ehoneah, a final year Doctor of Pharmacy student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana.

I have been an Educational Pathways International (EPI) beneficiary for the past 5 years. I joined the EPI scholarship programme in my 2nd year in the university and the benefits I have received over the period is enormous and innumerable.
I happened to be selected to be part of the programme during a period in my life where almost all hope was lost because my father had been bedridden from a severe stroke and my mother was no longer working because she had to be taking care of my father. At that same time, I was in the university and two of my brothers were also students whereas my elder brother who was a recent graduate was unemployed.

What to eat, how to purchase handouts and other study materials, many more were the problems I was facing in school before I got unto the scholarship programme. These issues that I was facing had a very bad impact on my academics. I had unpleasant experience at all.

Even though I was a good student, I didn’t see a possibility of me passing through the university successfully with all these challenges. However, all these changed for the better when I got enrolled on the EPI scholarship. Not only did I get the financial support to be able to buy study materials but I was able to pay for my school fees, afford a three-square meal every day, and pay for my accommodation and the likes. This kind gesture by EPI also went a long way to help my mother to focus on my other siblings and not worry about me again.

More so, being part of the EPI beneficiaries, I got extra benefits apart from the financial support. As a member of the family, I was taken through a lot of relevant trainings that helped me academically, socially and financially. We had training sessions on personal development, leadership, time management and many more. All these trainings which we had for free without paying a penny has really gone a long way to bring me this far.

Through these trainings too, I was able to learn on how to invest some of my money from the scholarship and by the grace of God, I have been able to start my own small business from it which I generate extra income from. This help offered to me by EPI scholarship is not only going to help me complete school but also go a long way to help me in my life after school.
The impact of this kind act of EPI is also not going to be felt by only me because my family has also benefitted a lot from these developments.

As a Pharmacy student, it has always been my dream to go and help the people in my community in terms of their health in any way possible. This dream of mine will not remain a dream for long since I can now see light at the end of the tunnel. In my current position, I am rest assured that once I have been certified as a Pharmacist, I can make the impact that I have been dreaming of. Even along the line during my 6years in school, I have been able to organize some form of public lectures on health and have also been of help to a lot of people in my community all because of the aid I got from EPI. Hence, I know that this is just the beginning of good things to come.

I want to use this opportunity to appreciate EPI so much and to everyone who supports EPI in any way possible. You all are the reason for my smiles today and not just me but all the people that my life and actions will impact. I am very much grateful that through it all, you didn’t just give me money but have also trained me to become a better person than I could have ever imagined of becoming.
God richly bless you all.

I am Ehoneah Obed, a 5th year Doctor of Pharmacy student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Kumasi, Ghana. Very soon my dream of becoming a Pharmacist and serving my community and other challenged communities like mine where the indigents are deprived of quality, affordable and easily accessible medicines will come to pass.

I have been a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship scheme for the past four years. Since I joined the scholarship scheme, I have been able to raise my academic performance and sustained that high standards because I no longer worry about difficulties with raising money to pay school fees, accommodation, books and other study materials, as well as money for my upkeep. I am now able to purchase various materials to aid in my studies without struggles.

As part of the EPI family, not only has my academics improved, but also my social life. Meeting new people from all walks of life and most importantly, being taught and practicing on a wide range of topics like time management, interpersonal relationships, public speaking and many more, it has made me a better person than I used to be.

Another important thing that has happened to me and my family because of the help that EPI is offering is that, my mother has now been able to push my younger brother to the university as well. I am so much grateful for such benevolence shown to me by the whole EPI team.

I am Ehoneah Obed, a 3rd year Doctor of Pharmacy student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. I remember vividly that day, when I got the message that I have been enrolled on the Educational Pathway International scholarship scheme, it was like seeing light after a long struggle through the tunnel of darkness. I joined this scholarship scheme in the 2015/2016 academic year in my second year, and what a relief it brought to me, taking me away from all those times when I used to go for lectures on empty stomach from 8:00am to 5:00pm and trust me it was quite difficult for me to concentrate in class those times. I can’t forget running from one friend to another just to ask for handouts and other study materials because I couldn’t afford to purchase some for myself. God being so good, through the aid of Mr and Mrs Lafrance, I can now boast of having my own laptop for studies, handouts and all other study materials and I surely enjoy a three square meal almost every day. Not only did this kind aid provided, help me concentrate on my dream of becoming a pharmacist but went a long way to help my parents to further my immediate younger brother’s education to the tertiary level and he is now in his 2nd year. Amidst all the difficulties I faced (my father suffering a severe stroke and my mother spending most of their savings on my father’s health), it was hard for me to envisage myself being able to continue my education but now because of the Educational Pathway International scholarship scheme, I can boast of the fact that the future is so bright for me. Another important thing worth mentioning about the Educational International Pathway family, is how concerned they are about every aspect of a beneficiary’s life, spending time with us, giving series of advices, educating us on important subjects which will groom us to become the future that we look up to and ensuring that everything is going on well with us. EPI is the best family in the world.
