Review for Bedford Humane Society Inc, Bedford, VA, USA
I've been a part of the BHS for over 13 years now and I see the need for our services increasing each year. Our county has a high kill rate at the local pound so we are needed to promote spay/neuter, adoption and humane education. We are in the process of building a no-kill facility in the name of Vernon D. Lybolt who was kind enough to leave the BHS his estate. I wish more people would consider including BHS in their will or estate.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
I support BHS by volunteering my time as president, by working our events and by being a foster home. It is very rewarding to save an animal from being euthanized at our county pound, love and care for her and then find her a new "forever" family.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
fostering animals and knowing that they get great homes when they leave my house!
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
very dedicated and passionate about animal welfare
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
provide low cost/no cost spay/neuter to end the continuing problem of hundreds of thousands of unwanted animals being born every year.
