I learned of TWAS in 2005 and have followed the work they do ever since. The magnitude of what they do for the captive wildlife crisis is amazing. The rescues- saving these large majestic animals from lives of horrifying captivity in dirty, cramped, totally unnatural living conditions to be released into a natural habitat where they can live out a life of freedom- is to be commended. Visit if you can- it is beautiful to see how these animals now live compared to where they came from. Sign up for the newsletters to learn of the mission and rescues. Donate- help them to rescue and save as many of these majestic creatures as possible, and to help spread the word on the crisis so that hopefully one day it will be a distant bad memory.
