Volunteering with Save The Whales through Service Learning at CSU Monterey Bay has had quite the impact on my life by helping me to collaborate with respectable science communication professionals and to find where I belong in the sea of opportunities in which the world of science has to offer. Save The Whales has also helped me understand that science communication is the key to employing a closer to world wide leadership in environmental protection. Through fairs, tabling, classroom education, social media, and many other sources, Save The Whales shares their passions for endangered species and the environment.

The Save The Whales staff is extremely passionate about environmental education and protection. They take the time to spread that knowledge and passion to children in many (including underserved) communities. They truly care about everything they work on and make it their life. I wish to do the same and I am happy to say that I will be continuing to work with Save The Whales in the future for my Capstone Project.
