Review for Carolina Poodle Rescue, Pacolet, SC, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I was adopted by my Jazzy Girl in February 2013. I was very impressed with the effort by Carolina Poodle Rescue to get the right dog with the right person. I have only been able to visit two times due to my distance from the farm. I volunteer by sewing.

Carolina Poodle Rescue is my favorite charity - they help many furbabies - dogs and cats. The dog doesn't have to be a poodle to receive love from the employees and volunteers at Carolina Poodle Rescue. There are so many volunteers that love this charity and volunteer to transport, spend a day loving on the animals, sponsors for animals coming to the farm, sponsors for the SOS Program, fostering, sewing, adoption counselors, and many other things that I have not mentioned. I was adopted by a seven pounder in 2013 named Jazzy Girl and what a girl she is. Jazzy was my way of finding this wonderful nonprofit. I was impressed in the care that was taken to make sure I was the right person for Jazzy. Because I live five hours away I volunteer by sewing belly bands, bed covers, and crate mats and I sponsor a dog in the SOS Program by contributing to Unco's care each month. Two years ago I had the pleasure of visiting the farm and taking a tour and boy was I impressed with everything.

Was wanting to adopt a small poodle and started searching the internet to see if I could find my love. Found Carolina Poodle Rescue after looking at other rescues and liked what they stood for. Needless to say I found my girl and a great rescue to work with. You will fill out an application, be interviewed and references checked, but, ensures a good home for the furbabies which is most important. The workers are great at CPR. I volunteer my time by sewing for the group.

Oh that Carolina Poodle Rescue, what a fantastic group it is. I was looking for a small poodle to be my own, we had one, but she is a Daddy's girl. Thankfully I found Carolina Poodle Rescue on the internet. Looking at the dogs I found my baby. I filled out a long very precise application asking all kinds of questions and wanting references from friends and my vet. And these people were called.

I was called and interviewed for over an hour. And finally told that I could adopt my girl who was in Raleigh in a foster home, IF my girl approved me. We made a ten hour round trip from WV to Raleigh and back. We spent several hours with her in the foster home and brought her home with us almost four years ago.

My girl had been a puppy mill producer for several years along with four other dogs. The others had been adopted. Jazzy received probably her first dental while in the care of CPR and had been checked over, micro chipped and spayed. I tell people about Carolina Poodle Rescue all of the time. I have so much confidence in this group, I contribute money and volunteer my time sewing, as I am pretty far away. I have visited and have been impressed by the care the dogs are given and the cleanliness of the dog surroundings. I would recommend Carolina Poodle Rescue to anyone, but you have to pass the test of being a caring loving dog person.
