Guidestar is not a responsible organization and misleads the public in many cases. If you file your 990 taxes you will be held out to the public as being transparent. Once they claim an organization is transparent their appears to be no way to reverse that opinion. If the taxes are fraudulent or if the organization stops filing their taxes they will still be held up to the public as being transparent. Stop relying on Guidestar as a measure of an organizations transparency.
