We NEED freedom from religion -- from religious ideas of learned helplessness, xenophobia, fear, superstition, dominance of the many by the few, the idea that human beings are intrinsically evil unless bullied into submission, that the only hope for us is some imagined "other world" that we can go to only when we die -- all of that. Unlike the Humanists, this organization tells it like it is, and places the blame for so many of mankind's problems exactly where it lies: with religion.
