My Nonprofit Reviews

I was fortunate to work as a student volunteer for GlobalMindED the past two summers. Being a part of this event was exciting on many levels. The students were able to interact with speakers such as Michele Welsander Quaid, who shared her story of being a disadvantaged student and rising to the top of her profession at Google, and Jessica Mathews, the founder of Uncharted Play, whose electricity generating soccer balls and jump ropes are powering impoverished neighborhoods. GlobalmindED's commitment to creating networks between students, educators and employers is perhaps my favorite part of being involved with the organization. Both years I was able to discuss critical issues facing our world with leaders from all different walks of life. I have made invaluable connections at this event and hope to be involved again next year.
