Review for The Samburu Project, Los Angeles, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The Samburu Project is an organization that is impacting so many lives in Kenya by nearly most of the funds raised going directly to the implementation of well drilling. The Mission is to bring clean, safe drinking water to as many as possible by drilling wells. Since bringing water to these arid regions, TSP has brought new life to the people as well as the land. This initiative has empowered women to start income generating businesses and allowed them to parent their children; additionally, enrollment in school age children has skyrocketed now that kids aren't out looking for water all day. Everyone is thriving - professionally, health wise and through education. I had the opportunity to meet Lucas, who is the TSP manager on location in Samburu. His role has been instrumental in the execution and maintenance of the project over the last 3.5 years. Lucas is a valuable asset to TSP, it's donors and the people of Samburu. Executive Director, Kristen Kosinski is a hero to humanity for her dedication, commitment and perseverance for spearheading such a necessary project and organization. Her impact is certainly to leave the world a better place and she leads by example!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

sitting on the board and being a highly involved event committee person. The impact we hear directly from Lucas in Kenya is just incredible considering we are continents away! Also, TSP has helped raise awareness in California for water conservation.
