The US Naval Sea Cadet Corp is one of the best kept secrets. I'm prior Navy and never knew about the program until my step-son brought it to our attention. He participated for 3 years and achieved First Class Petty Officer, attended numerous trainings, and learned how to be a better person. My wife and I both volunteer with our local unit, staff regional trainings, and love seeing the difference we make in our community.
