Thirteen years ago my husband's work truck was broken into and of all of his tools was stolen. At the time he was a self contractor and he was the sole provider for my two girls and I. He could not work without his tools so we fell behind in the rent. Gateway Community Outreach assisted our family with rent assistance and prevented us from becoming homeless. Gateway also assisted our family with food. I liked Gateway so much I started to work part time for them and now I have been working with Gateway for twelve years. I am very thankful that through Foundations and individuals donations Gateway is able to help more families like mine.
