My aunt came from Haiti and we needed help with food for her and her husband, I called Gateway Community Outreach, they send us to a nearby pantry; needless to say they went out of their way to help her with food, and bus pass. When she came out side, she was ecstatic because someone treated her as if she was their mother and not like a burden to society. Impressed with her treatment, I went back inside and thanked the ladies of First Baptist.
It’s not every day you see people going out of their way to help the elderly, I hope to see more community services, with the heart of Gateway's volunteers, workers and staff.
