One of the things I admire most about New Sun Rising is the action behind their work. New Sun Rising accomplished more as an all volunteer led organization than many staffed organizations. Now that the group has significant staff capacity, the level of impact has grown tremendously. The best part: all of the projects are actually done by communities served. The stronger New Sun Rising is, the stronger Pittsburgh's creative class of social entrepreneurs and change agents becomes.
