As one who has spent his youth in Los Padres Forest on horseback, I have come to develop a high regard for all the efforts that Los Padres ForestWatch has accomplished. It's mission is to protect and preserve public lands for the benefit of those who appreciate what mother nature has created. This organization is multi-talented with a bevy of volunteers who clear trails, pick up trash, protect condors, and serve extensively when and where needed. The staff of ForestWatch works closely with several government agencies to ensure that all decisions are made in conformity with best interest of the public. Preservation and biological integrity are so important at all times.
