Review for SHARE Self-Help for Women with Breast or Ovarian Cancers, Inc., New York, NY, USA
A friend suggested that I contact SHARE, 25 years ago when, at the age of 41, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I found the support I needed to get through the trauma of the diagnosis, the recovery from surgery and the disorientation of life post-treatment. I began teaching yoga in their wellness program and continued offering classes for the next 20 years. I also serve on the Advisory Committee for Latina SHARE. SHARE has provided a safe, nurturing environment which has been an invaluable tool for me and thousands of others as we move along our healing paths.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
... helping me at every stage of the disease from diagnosis to post-treatment.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
The people -- staff, volunteers, clients .. the people who drift in...SHARE attracts some wonderful people.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
EXPAND and help more women who deal with the isolation, fear and depression that often accompanies a diagnosis of breast or ovarian cancer.
