The Cannoli Fund is integral in the King William/Lavaca neighborhoods in helping to get the stray animal population under control, and in going above and beyond to provide assistance to families who want to adopt and foster. The dog I now own was a stray pit bull on our street. When I found her a year ago, the Cannoli Fund paid for her spaying and also footed the (multi-hundred dollar) bill for the heartworm treatment she had to undergo. We were able to give her a forever home without breaking the bank, all thanks to the efforts of the Cannoli Fund. Later on I fostered another stray dog that I found on the street, and the Cannoli Fund paid for his neutering and also assisted me in placing him with an organization that would eventually find him a forever family. I'm so grateful for the help that this organization gave to my dogs and I, and for the continuous work they do in the neighborhood!
