Review for The Cannoli Fund, San Antonio, TX, USA
In the one year that I have lived in San Antonio's Lavaca neighborhood , I have seen firsthand how The Cannoli Fund has been essential in providing care to the stray and lost dogs and cats in our neighborhoods. Over this last year, there were dogs that I brought into my home off the street, and The Cannoli Fund has helped me provide much needed care for them all. The first dog, was a lost dog, covered in ticks and fleas, and The Cannoli Fund helped me scan for her microchip, gave me flea medication, and then the dog was eventually reunited with her owners. The next lucky dog that The Cannoli Fund provided a tremendous amount of help to, was a puppy that was dumped a couple houses down from where I live. This puppy had a lot of parasites, and was in need of vet care. I called up The Cannoli Fund, and the next day I was able to take the puppy to the vet with all vet bills, included spaying, covered by The Cannoli Fund. After a week of care, this puppy found a forever home in our neighborhood. The most recent dog that I took in was a two year dog found underweight, with worms, and an eye and ear infection. As this dog was found on the street, I took him in for a vet visit the next day, and again, all vet bills including vaccinations, worm medication, and treatment for the infections, were covered by The Cannoli Fund. As one walks around King William and Lavaca neighborhoods, there are a lot houses with large water bowls in the front yard. These bowls were donated by The Cannoli Fund and are there to provide water to the animals of our neighborhoods, and are used daily by our neighborhood dogs and cats. The Cannoli Fund is a true blessing and much needed resource for King William and Lavaca neighborhoods. I wouldn't have been able to care for the three dogs I found on the street without them, and I know many neighbors who would agree with me.
