Review for The Cannoli Fund, San Antonio, TX, USA
When we first moved into the King William neighborhood, we were immediately greeted by two hungry strays - one grumpy feral, one friendly but nervous diva. I named them Hisser and Pisser. The Cannoli Fund was quick to help me trap them - Hisser got fixed but the diva was already fixed...she had been dumped, left behind, or lost. She was not microchipped. Both got their left ear tipped and show up for breakfast and dinner daily now. Not long after, another very sweet cat, Domino and a big ol' bully, Mr. Socks started showing up. Domino was chipped and her owner didn't want her back, but her original rescue came and re-rescued her, they had her as a kitten. Mr. Socks got his shots, his ear tipped, etc and eventually wormed his way into my heart and home - we adopted him. Turns out he's a big ol' love bug. The Cannoli Fund and the TNR program (Trap, Neuter, Release) is so important to the King William, Lavaca neighborhoods in keeping the kitten factory out of business. The people who run this organization are top notch and I am forever grateful for their continued help with the cats that seem to "find me" and need help - the newest are Sturgis and Peanut who need forever families and have been transferred to a rescue.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Find them more temporary fosters! So hard to coordinate neuter/spay appointments and there are not enough people to help catch and hold the cats until the next spot opens up. It is super hard to find fosters. :-(
