I have been working w New Leash on Life USA for a year now as both a communications advisor and volunteer. Since I have helped them tell their amazing story in many different ways, I know well now that this program works - it changes and transforms individuals and animals lives. Former inmates deserve a chance to get a job after serving their time in prison - New Leash helps make that happen. And hard-to-adopt shelter dogs deserve a chance to be adopted into a forever home. This program makes that happen too. The staff is amazing. Volunteers are incredible. I want to adopt a dog and give a former inmate a job -- hopefully, I will be able to do that someday. For now, I donate time and money :) and have the privilege of working with them.
