Review for Global Fairness Initiative, Washington, DC, USA
GFI is an amazing organization that empowers women in the developing world. I had first-hand knowledge of this when I had the opportunity to help plan and staff the U.S. visit of the leaders of a women's association of micro enterprise producers in India with whom GFI has partnered. These strong women were inspiring, eloquent, and powerful advocates for their members and their communities. They weren't asking for handouts; they were looking to tell their success story in order to help replicate and scale it and to further empower women to guide their own lives as independent, productive citizens who are connected to the global marketplace. In this way, GFI is a unique and thoughtful organization that recognizes the real challenges in today's global economy, and works to achieve sustainable solutions that take into account the inter-connected-ness of the world.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
GFI's ability to able to get a "seat at the table" in developing countries. It is viewed as a credible and expert voice on the capabilities for economic advancement and contribution of these societies' poorer classes, who only need to be empowered.
