Review for Sanctuary for Senior Dogs, Cleveland, OH, USA
I first met Deborah Workman of Sanctuary for Senior Dogs in 2000, long before she registered the rescue agency as a nonprofit organization. I had taken in an abused, abandoned coon hound who was petrified of people. At that time my circumstances would not allow me to keep him. Luckily I knew of Deborah and she agreed to take Jack and find him a home. Shortly after he was driven from Ohio to his new home in the Rockies, where I understand he lived a long and happy life. Years later, living in a large home with a huge garden I was able to adopt a wonderful companion from the Sanctuary, Old Wills. I also fostered when I was able. This sanctuary saves dogs, few of whom would get another home if it wasn't for the dedication of Deborah and her volunteers. I now live in South America but feel privileged to have known and adopted through the Sanctuary for Senior Dogs. I received so much unconditional love from my senior best friends.
