We adopted Maya from Adopt-a-Cat about 2 years ago. She was sneezing a lot when we first got her. This cleared up after she was spending a lot of time outdoors on our patio. We had her checked out by our vet and she is very healthy.
None of the cats at the shelter are caged. They all roam freely and get along surprisingly well with each other. I think that was one of the reasons why Maya warmed up to our other two cats right away.
The shelter is not perfect but they are trying the best they can with the limited resources they have. And the volunteers are so committed. It’s all about the kitties.
