Review for The Dog Alliance, Cedar Park, TX, USA
I"ve been supporting The Dog Alliance for almost two decades - back when it was the Austin Dog Alliance - and I'm a monthly donor. My pup, Bobby is still using the skills he learned in puppy class ten years ago and is a model citizen welcome everywhere we go. TDA's Hounds for Heroes program is literally changing the lives of ex-military and others with problems related to PTSD and I've personally witnessed how their volunteer dog/human teams bring joy and comfort to those living in elder-care facilities (including my own mother.) I am so proud to be a part of this exceptional nonprofit.
Review for The Dog Alliance, Cedar Park, TX, USA
The Austin Dog Alliance's work with people -- especially children -- on the autism spectrum, veterans with depression or PTS, at-risk readers, the elderly and the infirmed is inspiring. I've watched them first hand and seen the joy their dog teams bring others. And I've spoken with vets whose lives have been made possible with an ADA-trained therapy dog. I've also had the pleasure of taking two dog training classes myself. Their reward-based dog training method works beautifully. I cannot recommend more the work of any other animal-based nonprofit.
