Review for These Numbers Have Faces, Inc., Portland, OR, USA
I asked one of the founders of These Numbers Have Faces, Justin, about why he decided to start this nonprofit. He gave a compelling answer about how reporting statistics regarding poverty can be overwhelming and dehumanizing, but through connection and stories we can really come to understand why fighting for dignity and equality is so important. He described exactly how he met the people he works with and what they hope to do. This organization is driven, passionate and inspiring.
