Review for Diamond in the Rough Youth Development Inc, Snellville, GA, USA
My university requires that I participate in a social or human service agency to complete my degree program. As I searched for the best agency or organization to partner with, I found Diamond in the Rough. My initial interview with its director, Nicole Steele was more than pleasant, it was refreshing. The passion and commitment she and her staff have for this community's young ladies and their families is extraordinary. They spend many hours planning and strategizing for events, workshops, symposiums, and retreats geared towards the betterment of its participants and their parents. The love and passion in the room during the events is almost palpable. With each event I attend and volunteer, I find myself encouraged and gratified. Under the mentorship of Nicole Steele, hundreds of young women have learned what it is to not only love themselves, but recognize that they have a future. A bright and prosperous future. I am very happy to be a part of such a progressive, yet humble organization that prides themselves in loving, directing and shaping young ladies into future leaders, future educators and determined women. Upon my completion of my volunteering position, I am sure to remain a volunteer and hope to become a staff member. Yeah, this organization is "just" that awesome, better yet, blessed.
