ASCF is an example of how foundations can successfully power transformative change in the way research is done and patient care is advanced. My relationship with ASCF started when the foundation decided to fund "Chimera", the first sarcoma relational database at MDACC that enables users to search and identify patients for their research and also to add data back to one common platform that all investigators share. This effort is now being expanded institutionally for enhancing collaborations even outside of MDACC.

We have over 30,000 sarcoma patients on the database. This massive effort would not be possible without the help of ASCF.
