The amigos are a great concept that has been transformed into a great activity. In other places where we have lived, specifically Hawaii, adults with Down syndrome, like my brother-in-law, are treated as a bad thing. When people see them, they are looked at as not nice and avoided.

The Amigos are the epitome of the opposite feelings here in Idaho. Challenged adults are given a role among equals, given a chance to interact as real people and treated with love and respect.

The Amigos are a wonderful giving group.
