Review for Rosalind Franklin University Of Medicine & Science, North Chicago, IL, USA
This is a wonderful University dedicated to educating health science professionals. The faculty is dedicated, knowledgeable and available to students. Faculty is aging, have not had a cost of living, or merit raise since 2003, Regardless they do not let this show to the students. I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
The students that have completed the programs are outstanding. They are well taught and well placed to go on to productive careers.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Release the current unscrupulous president and his cronies. Work with the State to dissolve the Board and establish a new Board that was truly involved in the welfare of the Institution. The present Board is only interested in being treated in royaly.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
The interaction of the faculty with each other, and the interaction of the faculty with students. The students are delightful and eager to get on with learning and a new life in their selected field.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
The faculty and staff are outstanding. They have suffered considerably under the present administration, but they continue to be dedicated to the greater good of the students and the University.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Reduce the gap between the reserve funds and the outstanding loans. Use Some of the money to give the hard-working faculty and staff a raise.
Ways to make it better...
The tuition were lower. The current alumni have little attachment or kind feelings toward the institution. The feeling is they (the students) paid their way and do not want to look back. Sad!
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Developing a sound fiscal policy and new sources of revenue. The reserves are inadequate and raided yearly. The University is overextended and continuing to add programs that have not been thought through.
One thing I'd also say is that...
It is time for the President to take his deferred pension and retire to his bungalow in Florida. Rosalind Franklin University has three members of the Board who are felons awaiting sentencing or incarcerated in prison.
