The very best thing I have gotten from Hopekids is a new set of friends that are basically like family. We try to get together at some of the larger events and just see our kids blossom in friendship. For some kids this is a chance to just be themselves and not worry about what a person things of them. For the parents you just get it when someone says they are exhausted and maybe tired of taking care of their child. They are not being mean they are just saying it would be nice to be normal for a day. And being at these events allows us to be normal for a day without another added worry of expense or how is someone going to react to my child.
