Review for The Wild Animal Sanctuary, Keenesburg, CO, USA
A couple of years ago I wanted to adopt/sponsor a wild animal and searched for a good sanctuary. I found The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Colorado for my donation. I have since adopted: a female black bear, Smokey; a male African lion, Kobu; a female timber wolf, Cheyenne; a female cougar, Sandy; and two male tigers, both named Shirr Kahn (one died so I transferred my adoption to SKII). Every quarter I receive an update on how my "family" is doing. I have also called and the staff has been very courteous and friendly. It's gratifying to know that these exotic rescued animals did not wind up on a hunt farm, and that they are well taken care of--if not spoiled. I am a 75-year old widow and feel privileged to feel a part of the TWAS family.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
their demonstration of consistency in finding needy exotic animals that need rescue.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
their friendliness and continued concern for the animals in their care and their constant search for exotic animals in need.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
by phone or e-mail and they have always been friendly and courteous, taking time to answer my questions or concerns. They treat my like family.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
expand its sanctuary so it can continue to include additional animals.
