Review for The Oregon Foundation for Reproductive Health, Portland, OR, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have served on the Board of the Oregon Foundation for Reproductive Health (OFRH) since 2005, and have very much enjoyed working with the staff and other volunteers. Most importantly, I have been thrilled to be part of an organization that make such a difference in women's lives. With grant funds and individual donations, we have implemented a successful Emergency Birth Control (EBC) Access Project to increase awareness of EBC as a second chance to prevent pregnancy. OFRH is a statewide organization, but has focused efforts in rural areas where access to reproductive health care is most challenging.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

To date, we have provided EBC education to over 400 Oregon pharmacists with demonstrated success in increasing knowledge and stocking/dispensing practices (pre/post surveys).

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

working with such passionate people to make such important improvements to women's health.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

enthusiastic, fun and tremendously dedicated.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

make sure women throughout Oregon had knowledge about and access to reproductive health care - everything from how to prevent pregnancy to having healthy babies to staying healthy throughout their lives.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
