Review for Pacific Crest Youth Arts Organization, Diamond Bar, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Pacific Crest is the single hand that helped me become who I am. As a member of this organization for 3 years I was given the guidance, motivation, and endless support to pursue my passion, music. I was given an opportunity at the age of 16 to join a family established well before me, and also to influence the experience for those who came after me. The instructional staff, with what seemed like endless knowledge, always encouraged me to learn about myself, about my limits, and about my standards, and when I got to the point where I fell, those were the arms that caught me. I felt at home every minute I was there. Drum Corps is a difficult activity, but Pacific Crest enables you to be a part of something greater than You. It teaches you perseverance, determination, and achieving excellence in a whole new light. I can proudly say that I define myself as a person by what Pacific Crest has been able to provide for me in the time that I was there. Now, I have an opportunity to give back to the organization that I am eternally grateful for.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Their continual success. Year after year, staying above water, financially. As well as providing members with the experience that prepares them for life.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The number of opportunities that it has been able to present. The challenges it has placed. And the ability for this organization to change my life.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

some of the most talented, dedicated, and encouraging people. Hands down.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

use it for the purpose of providing members with more opportunities. Give the members, staff, board, and volunteers a better experience. Success is based on the quality of the experience.

Ways to make it better...

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Financial limitations.
