Review for Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking, Denver, CO, USA
I became connected with the LCHT in a class I took at MSU Denver, taught by Mary Durant and AJ Alejano-Steele. As I get to know my two professors and the work they continue to do, the more it becomes clear that LCHT's contributions to the anti-trafficking work being done promot Colorado's engagement in the anti-trafficking movement. Not only does LCHT center on survivors, but they aspire to collaborate with other organizations, and sectors, plus create future community leaders with their internship program. LCHT sits on task forces, manage the state's human trafficking hotline, and trains the community on the crime of human trafficking. The work they do in the community is invaluable and I love having the opportunity to intern at this great organization.
