Review for Women in Film & Video Inc, Washington, DC, USA
WIFV, Inc. may well be the best run non-profit in the country for women because of the leadership and the active involvement of nearly everyone associated with its efforts. It is both brilliantly managed, democratic and out-reaching, and creative. Over the last 20 years, WIFV has contributed to the development of a dynamic, vibrant media community in the Washington, DC area. In fact, women lead the way here in defining the path-breaking developments in film, television, internet, website creation, feature films, theatrical works, and more. Men join the WIFV listserve because it's the only one that provides the news and opportunities taking place in the region.

the range of opportunities open to media--for training, jobs, access to national programs, fundraising, insights into key issues affecting women and media. WIFV helped create a thriving place for women artists.
